My friend Tammy does a weekly neon lights photo challenge so I wanted to participate.Tammy has a thing for neons so she’s been collecting them for years. Me? I like neons but I’m not out at night a lot and generally don’t take neons during the day. Neons are sooo cool during the night are they? I love the way they glow.
This week is Tammy’s Neon Photo Challenge is cup-shaped or glass-shaped and I don’t have either. I thought I had a cafe one but it turned out to have a windmill because their name was Dutch. Arrrgggh.
Sooooo

All the photos today are not mine. They are from Wikimedia and Unsplash where people share them, allowing publication rights. I hope you enjoy them.
I’ll check with Tammy if I can add my post to the challenge although the photos are not mine but I have attributed and named the source correctly and the copyrights on them allow publication. Crossing my fingers. I hope if you have cup or glass neon photos, you will join the challenge.
Mondays Weekly Neon Sign Photography Challenge
June 10, 2019: cup or glass shape

You can use the Amazon search bar to do a search as I did with “vintage neon signs book”. The results can vary on different days. Today I wasn’t suprised to see Vintage Neon by Len Davidson with more than 350 vintage neon photographs including some from his Neon Museum of Philadelphia pieces. However I didn’t see Seltzer’s Vintage Signs of America
or Sonderman’s Route 66 Roadside Signs and Advertisements
which looked like good books filled with neon photography too. Oh well, maybe next time.
