I don’t often write political poems but when I saw the word “obloquy”, it was too perfect.  Which politician am I writing about?  That’s the thing.  Don’t you think more than one can fit the bill?

1 : a strongly condemnatory utterance; strong public criticism or verbal abuse
2 : the condition of one that is discredited; disgrace, especially that brought about by public abuse.
