Haibun Road : Roundup Week 4

Haibun Road Writing Challenge Roundup Week 4

We are at the fourth week of Haibun Road, a weekly haibun challenge. This time I invited you to write a short paragraph and a haiku inspired by the fifth and sixth paragraph from Basho in Oku no Hosomichi (translated most often as Narrow Road to the North or Narrow Road to the Interior).

Hope you enjoyed reading this week’s contributions.

Haibun Road week 4 by sketchingwords.com wrote a humorous haibun about her encounter with a confused bird.

Haibun : Don’t feed the monkeys by Cactus Haiku about monkeys on Mount Takasaki, near Beppu city, on Kyushu island, Japan.

I hope you enjoyed or will enjoy reading them and that you will join us in our next haibun challenge (will be posted about 11pm Arizona Time — might be late as I’m a bit under the weather so going to go take a nap).

Links are to haibun books on Amazon (I’m an affiliate but it’s also easy to throw in a search term like “new haibun” to find book titles there. While I buy books on Amazon, I also use the library and the local used and new brick&mortar bookstores to encourage publishers to keep publishing physical books and hopefully for the bookstores to last longer — who doesn’t love browsing through actual books? — although kindle is a god-send, especially for independent authors.).

You can use the Amazon search bar to do any search at Amazon

As an Amazon affiliate, I may earn a fee if you click on the above links and buy something. This does not affect your price which remains the same.
