Rule: no toys outside
Alex stands at the closed door
Chatting on the porch
Reluctant, drops his treasure
Door opens, with joy, jumps through

And then a few minutes later Alex was whining to go back in to check on his toy. He was worse than a cat. In and out. So cute though. He belongs to Kris and Lisa, my friend Carol’s neighbors.

From Amazon: (I don’t have a dog so basically I did a search for dog on Amazon just to see what popped out. Quite a variety. I love the doggie bags that you can carry in a leash — unfortunately I only need the restaurant kind. Only $14.99 for 900 bags, hmmm. Thinks about how much dogs poop… Well, maybe it’s not that many after all, lol. An app that tosses treats to your dog while you get a livestream video of your pet 24/7 — be a good housewatcher too I bet. Wonder what Midnight, my black cat, would think of it. Probably tip it over to get at the treats — he is a bit of a chowhound. Midnight is sitting here right now trying to convince me to givehim a treat. Lastly, a documentary about a man rescuing a dog set on fire and their work to change their state’s nonexistent cruelty to animal laws. Sounds like a good one to watch)

(link is to DVD but you can also stream it) A Dog Named Gucci is the story of a puppy set on fire and the brave man who came to his rescue. The moviemaker Gorman Bechard wrote on “A Dog Named Gucci grew out of our love for our own rescue dogs. It is an inspiring story that will make you believe you can really make a difference. … Instead you will fall in love with Gucci, as I did in making the film. …. And help you realize we are the voice for animals. …There are three other stories also featured in the film: Susie from North Carolina, Nitro from Ohio, and Louis Vuitton from Alabama (whose abuser was the first test of the Gucci law…he got 10 years!). |
