Senryu : extempore

extempore trips
if I plan, something goes wrong
better to just go

senryu by M. Nakazato LaFreniere

Just one of those things, if I plan a trip, something goes wrong like the car breaks down.  If I just pack and go, it usually turns out fine but I may have forgotten a thing or two I may have to buy on the way.

A word on “extempore”, I thought it was three syllables because i”ve been pronouncing it wrong for like forever (ex tem pour) and then I went to a dictionary site and click on one of their sound bites and it’s four!  Four syllables is a lot for my little haiku.  I really love those sound bites for words I’ve never heard in real life.
