Daily Haiku / Senryu : Tame

Pinkie is not tamed
snarling, biting a close hand
warning done, she purrs

I admit Pinkie is schizoid.  When she was a kitten, she once brought home a baby rattlesnake.  Scared mom who killed it right away.

When you try to pet Pinkie she doesn’t know whether she should bite you or purr so she does both.  She prefers to be petted with your foot.  Crazy cat. But if you’re sick, she’ll lie by you all day, keeping you company without complaining.  That’s when she knows exactly what to do.

Now British researchers have even created code that can turn your selfie into a 3d model which they are giving away.  More than half a million people have uploaded their pic to the demo site to view a 3d version before it gets deleted.

You want to try it?  Upload your selfie here.   I don’t have one (seriously camera shy) but I had one of me when I was a toddler and this is what was generated:

And you can use your mouse to spin it around:

Okay, maybe now I’m tempted to take a selfie 🙂

Love it when people work together to make something cool. Researchers in the Northeastern United States and Sydney, Australia have created a new elastic protein-based gel which can be injected to seal internal wounds in a minute.  Ultra-violet lights set the glue.
