Senryu : Peeves

couples have their peeves
he forgot to feed the bird!
some things drive you nuts!

senryu by M. Nakazato LaFreniere

“Darn it, Winter! You forgot to feed the bird!”
It’s in situations like this that your mind rambles, “you know, I should have made an omelette when he brought home that humongous egg but I thought it was going to be an ostrich. Darn it. I don’t think it was such a great idea to move in with a paleontologist after all. Wasn’t there a song? Mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to be paleontologists? Something like that for sure. Oooh, Kirstin, you’re a big kitty but I don’t think stalking this bird is a good idea, you know, honey.”
