Dinner without meat?
That’s just crazy! Can’t be true!
Tofu kabobs?  Yum!

At Lupin Lodge restaurant, every night they have two specials.  One is always vegetarian.  I’m not vegetarian; I do love my meat but I decided to give it a whirl.  I was surprised.  The tofu kabobs were very tasty and I felt full.  Maybe vegetarian isn’t as crazy as i thought. Iscriblr is vegetarian and is always sharing the cool vegetarian fare she finds at restaurants like recently she shared her veggie burger and mimosas.  Hmmm, mimosas!  Sounds good to me.

Lupin Lodge is a back-to-nature Naturist retreat.  While clothing is optional, nudity is encouraged. My friend stays here.  Took awhile to get used to because I’m big …. very big but nobody cares.  People are all sizes here and all ages from kids to seniors. Night time though I wear clothes because it gets a bit cold at night — 60s and this Arizona woman isn’t used to that.  But I love the cool days, only 85! Warm enough to shed layers and let the sun kiss my skin.

It’s amazing that while you’re only about ten minutes from San Jose, it’s up in the mountains, enclosed by forest.  They have yurts you can rent.  When I went up to the Lodge to use the restroom in the middle of the night, there were deer wandering up near there.  Pretty cool.  I even saw a skunk waddling away in the darkness.  First time I’ve seen one of those in real life. I heard there were raccoons here too but haven’t seen any.

Went to Los Gatos in the  morning to get a latte.  Five minutes winding up the mountain road, hop on the freeway and I’m in town. Yum!  I love nature and all but I need my caffeine! Plus down the street they have a really cool thrift store, Happy Dragon Thrift Store, where I snagged a cool shirt, Japanese teacups and a couple CDs.
