senryu : ragabash

One of the things I love about the English language is how we will use nouns as adjectives or verbs as nouns.  So “ragabash” which means “shiftless disreputable person” gets plopped into my poem — my poor “shiftless disreputable” muffin.  Yeah, not a kosher use of the word.  I’ll probably get bonked on the head by the Scots and Irish who Oxford dictionary says still use the word regionally.  Grins.  It sure is fun to play with the English language.

The Ragtag Daily Prompt now has it’s own blog site called the “Ragtag Community“.  Each day of the week a prompt is presented by a different person.  Today’s is “ragabash” by moi.  If you want post writing or images evoked by the word and add your pingback or link to the comments there.  Hope to see you there!
