my sister and I
five and three, so little then
wonder what we thought
senryu by M. Nakazato LaFreniere
My sister sounded like she didn’t have this photograph so I went searching through mom’s pictures and found it in a frame. The surrounding paper had aged, turning tea brown but the photograph hasn’t faded one whit. Have to say this about black & white, the stuff lasts forever.
1965. We look so serious in that picture. I wonder what we were thinking.
This pic and poem is to Sis, with love.
